Deputy Research Coordinator
Oliver is trained as an Agricultural, Resource and Environmental Economist at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. He is currently enrolled in the same University as a PhD student. He is specializing further in Resource and Environmental Economics and researching the implications of forest degradation/scarcity in Nigeria. He has participated in many workshops both within and outside Nigeria. He is a member the International Development Economics Associates [IDEAs] based in New Delhi. He is fully involved in many evidence-based and policy-related researches at the institute where he works as the Deputy Research Coordinator. Consequently, he has consulted for the Associates for International Resources and Development [AIRD], Cambridge, USA, on the preparation of a background document (for Nigeria) in the formulation of a Common Agricultural Policy for the ECOWAS sub-region. He is currently consulting for DFID on a study on the Sustainability of Renewable Natural Resources in Nigeria. He is happily married with children.
