Workshop on Poverty Monitoring and Impact Evaluation

The Institute recently conducted a one week workshop on poverty monitoring and impact evaluation. The workshop was organised by the Institute for senior level personnel of the National Planning Commission (NPC) Abuja at the Bridgewater Suites, Enugu.

The Institute had a brief from the National Planning Commission (NPC) to organise a one-week workshop for its senior level personnel to further enhance their capaity on poverty monitoring. The Institute in line with this brief developed and structured a nine-module workshop organised between July 21 and July 25, 2008. The workshop aimed at strengthening the Monitoring and Evaluation capacities of the personnel by taking them through the theory and practice of poverty monitoring and impact evaluation, with particular emphasis on innovative tools for Monitoring and Evaluation practice in poverty reduction.

The one-week workshop was adjudged by the participants and other stakeholders as successful and enriching.
