AIAE and AFC partner on Research

AIAE has entered a strategic partnership on collaborative research with the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). Both institutions serve as valuable resource providers for knowledge and analytical data on African development issues. Recently, they signed a memorandum of understanding that will produce close collaboration between the two organizations on sector studies, policy analysis and industry and project appraisals.

The partnership is one of various such collaborative efforts that AIAE has forged over time with like-minded institutions in Africa as well as globally. This partnership is underpinned by both organizations’ shared pan-African values for promoting the continent’s economic development and effective integration into the global economy. AFC and AIAE will leverage each other’s strengths to produce evidence-based knowledge of sector, industry and business opportunities as well as constraints in various sectors of African economies.

AFC is an investment bank and development finance institution created to help mobilize and channel required capital to drive African development. Established in 2007, it focuses on the advancement of infrastructure on the continent—in particular, power, transport infrastructure, heavy industries, oil and gas, mining, and telecommunications. AFC’s mission is to address Africa’s development needs in a profitable way, creating benefits for both investors and societies in the region.

More information on the AFC can be found at their organisation's websites: www.africafc.org
