Forum on Business Environment and Competitiveness across Nigerian States (FOBEANS) is the BECANS conference for advocacy and dialogue on business environment in Nigeria. The purpose of the Forum series is to provide stakeholders with the opportunity and evidence to collectively and continually examine critical business environment problems in the states and find solutions to them.

Inauguration of FOBEANS, 2007 Committee

The Central Bank of Nigeria, a key partner of AIAE’S flagship project BECANS, on Thursday 31st May 2007 hosted the inauguration ceremony of the organizing committee for the Forum for Business Environment Across Nigerian States (FOBEANS) at the CBN Headquarters, Abuja.

BECANS Quality Review underway

Following successful field data collection during November-December 2006, BECANS has commenced quality review and analysis of data on Nigerian states. The quality review is designed to check data for completeness, credibility and reliability. It involves matching data against the supplied documentary evidence in order to ensure accuracy and integrity. BECANS Stakeholder Workshop

In furtherance of the implementation of the Business Environment and Competitiveness across Nigerian States (BECANS) project, the Institute in collaboration with the National Planning Commission organised a National Workshop. BECANS is a public-private sector collaborative project designed to produce business environment and competitiveness reports across Nigerian States, on a regular sustained basis.
